Just like the classic adventure books, we have no idea where this week will lead us! Kids come in on Monday and we plan out the week with them at circle time. They get to feel in charge of their summer while we gently push a few pre-thought-out activities and field trips. This can mean trips like the arcade, Old Spaghetti Factory, the pool, and activities like arts and crafts with clay, scavenger hunts, and even a live action Among Us.

Do you think you can build a bridge strong enough to hold up 20 books? What about the tallest tower ever made out of toothpicks and marshmallows? Then this is the week for you!
Each day will bring new building challenges, fun engineering crafts, and even some you can eat. If your creation does not win, no worries because there are prizes for everyone who participates. So join us for a week of science and engineering fun!

July 6th to 10th
This week is going to be an exciting adventure for all the kids who love furry friends, creepy crawlies, and feathered fowls of the air! We'll get to explore more about them through fun field trips like the zoo and plenty of time outside to play in the local parks. This week will also bring time for creative crafts including everyone leaving with a 3-ring binder to decorate and be filled with trading cards like Pokémon, Magic, or their favorite sports teams. There will plenty of Pokemon themed things this week so join us for all things creature!

July 13th to 17th
If you have a kiddo who loves to climb trees, wander stream beds, and who turns every day into an adventure, this is the week for them! We’ll be spending the days exploring all sorts of parks and natural spaces, familiar and new. Your child will have the opportunity to exercise their imagination just as much as their body, to challenge themself and engage in adventurous play, and to learn more about the wonderful nature that’s all around them. While we will have more typical activities at the Hive, the focus will be on field trips which everyone will go on, including several that will run 10am-3pm.

July 20th to 24th
Your kiddo will find all kinds of ways to express themselves with art appreciation week. We will do some wacky self portraits, Bob Ross style painting class, paper mache masks, and we may even make a brand new SCCA mural! Trips will include parks for some time to move our bodies (and some sweet treats in the shade). This will be a great week for those kids who love to get crafty and let their artistic side shine!

FOOD FIGHT! Ok maybe not...but we are getting messy this week. All activities and crafts will be themed around getting dirty so come dressed for mess (and maybe a stain or two). We will be making slime, getting muddy in our mud kitchen, painting the teachers, visiting a farm, and even a water ballon fight. Join us for a week of lots of hands on ooey gooey fun!
lip sync week
August 3rd to 7th
We will spend all week prepping the kids for a performance on Friday of some epic lip sync numbers! The focus will be on perfecting dance moves and memorizing lyrics so no big activities or daily field trips this week. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS WEEK IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING! Staying put and becoming rockstars in the goal!
