About Us

 Evan is the big goofy dad that could just never leave. Evan started at SCCA when he was just 5 years old! That's when he fell in love. From the start he made his parents pick him up at 6! He always got excited when his mom was working more, because it meant more daycare! Once he grew up a bit, he had to come back. He started volunteering in middle school, and working in Highschool. After a little stint with Engineering, he realized he had already found his calling! Since then, he has continued to grow with SCCA. They truly are his Family. Once his old boss, Troll, departed, he was handed the keys to the Castle. Now you will see running around trying to be the glue and support for an amazing staff and kids! Evan’s favorite things are disc golf, cooking and playing games with friends! 

 Maddie is the queen of the Littles along with Debby! Since she has come on, we knew her role would be with the K-1 homeroom. She has spent the last two years developing systems for her homeroom, as well as giving great insight into the program. She has shown her knack for planning and big creative ideas. This has been huge for our summer program! She does all this while being so kind and caring. AND A LOT OF PATIENCE! In the last year, Maddie has moved up in her position! Her character, hard work, creativity and reliability, have proven themselves as her role expanded. Maddie says working with kids in childcare is her ideal job! I think she found the perfect place. 
 

 Ever since Debby arrived, she has been such a good fit. She especially connects well with our littles and makes sure they feel supported. She truly takes an interest in the kids and connects with them on their interests. Debby is a great athlete and loves playing sports and gym games. But her favorite thing to do is be in the water! Any excuse for a good swim! Debby’s next journey after us is to become a teacher! We are so happy that SCCA can be a stepping stone for that. We hope she stays as long as she can!

 Evan has been lucky enough to know Lennon since 6th grade! It was clear that they were both meant to never grow up and just keep playing! No wonder he said he loved working at daycare, because kids are just fun! SCCA was lucky enough to hire him and never look back. He is known for being cool, calm and collected. He is someone you can always count on. Whether it be gym games, crafts or cleaning, he does it with a smile and a laugh. When he isn't making kids laugh at work, Lennon likes to relax with some video games, and play with his dog Annie!
 

 Brad is one of a kind. He is our gym rat, sport guy, and capture the flag king. Brad is always down for a game! He puts in incredible effort to support the development of kids, especially through physical play or competition. He makes sure everyone feels included and encouraged. He makes sure that sportsmanship is always first. He is so fun, we can’t even keep the 6th-8th graders from coming back and wanting to play! This energy and attitude help drive Brad's passion for golf, guitar and basketball in his personal life. Brad truly brings the best energy and always leaves people feeling better than before! Plus he speaks French!  

 Sammie is a wonderful beacon of fun, kindness and understanding! You will probably catch her playing or dancing outside. After moving from Cali a couple years ago, she loves taking advantage of being in the great northwest. Her favorite things to do are hike, camp and of course care for kids. Her love of dancing and music has also been a huge inspiration. Now we are doing fun lip syncs every week! Sammie is someone that leads with love and teaches the kids the same. The kids see how genuine she is and know that she is there to help and support them. She really lets their spirit fly! 
 

 Ever since Salem has been with us, she showed her true gifts with children. Her patience and care with each child and each conversation is truly remarkable. Seeing the trust and care the children have for her, really shows that. She is amazingly artistic and creative. She uses this to lead incredible art clubs. We were lucky enough to have Salem move all the way from Alaska to then join our team! Salem's presence always makes sure things run smoother. When Salem is not being a leader at work, she enjoys hanging out with her Fiancé and her awesome dog Kodu. She said she isn’t sure who she likes hanging out with more! :)

 Benny is Mr. Reliable! He is always there to pick up the slack and is the perfect support and glue for all the other homerooms. He truly excels at finding where he can be the most helpful. Benny somehow balances a calm, professional, fun and creative energy. Not just with kids, but with staff and parents. The best thing about Benny is his creative solutions to dull moments. If an activity has run out of steam, he is quick to work with kids to find another fun thing to do! He is our Lord of the Hockey Rink, a master of sketch, and a music/media Maniac. 
 

 Sarah! How could you not love Sarah! After Evan, Sarah has been with SCCA the longest! She has been part of this family and community for so many years. The impact she has on the children and families are incredible. Sarah excels at connection with the kids. She provides them a space where they can fully be themselves. A space where there is trust and an opportunity for kids to be vulnerable. Growing up is tough! Sarah is always there for the kids in those moments. She truly cares and loves the children. There is a reason everywhere yells when she shows up, and why all the middle schoolers come back to visit!
