SCCa's Excellent adventure!

June 16th to 18th

 A mad scientist was building a time machine… but something went horribly wrong! The machine exploded, scattering its pieces across different time periods—and pulling people from the past into total chaos. Now it’s up to you to travel through history, find the missing parts, repair the machine, and send everyone back where they belong!  

June 22nd to 26th

 Pack your wagon—it’s time to hit the Oregon Trail! We’ll churn butter, pan for gold,  have a good ol’ country hoedown, and try to avoid getting dysentery! 

 June 29th to July 2nd

 Hear ye! Hear ye! Join us for a week of jesting and jousting as we step into the world of castles and kingdoms! We will take on royal challenges, test our bravery, and work together in games and activities fit for the court.  

 July 6th to 10th

 Get totally radical as we head back to the 90’s! Arcade games, VHS tapes (what are those?), lava lamps, Furby's and skateboards galore as we dive into all things 90’s.   

 July 13th to 17th 

 Vive la France! Travel back to the time of the French Revolution as we explore life in this dramatic era. We will create elegant fans, enjoy a royal-style tea party, and take part in playful challenges inspired by history. Will we side with the monarchy… or start a revolution?  

 July 20th to 24th 

 Enter the Renaissance, a time of brilliant minds and bold ideas! We will study the arts and sciences;

creating, experimenting, and exploring the world as the great thinkers once did. Through careful observation and clever thinking, we may even uncover the secrets of the mind!

July 27th to 31st 

 All aboard! Step back in time to the era of the Titanic as we set sail for a week of adventure! We will take on exciting challenges (including an ice survival challenge!) as we experience life at sea. Can you survive the journey… or will this voyage turn into a shipwreck?  

  August 3rd to 7th 

We will spend all week prepping the kids for a performance on Friday of some epic lip sync numbers! The focus will be on perfecting dance moves and memorizing lyrics so no big activities or daily field trips this week.

 August 10th to 14th

Just like the classic adventure books, we have no idea where this week will lead us! Kids come in on Monday and we plan out the week with them at circle time. They get to feel in charge of their summer while we gently push a few pre-thought-out activities and field trips. This can mean trips like the arcade, Old Spaghetti Factory, the pool, and activities like arts and crafts with clay, scavenger hunts, and even a live action Among Us.
